Flag Program

Flags are put up in May on the street light fixtures and they stay up all spring/summer until late fall. In an election year, we put all of the flags up (the ones on the light fixtures and in the ground) in early May for the primary election.

Flags will be out before Armed Forces Day on May 20, 2017 and stay through at least Memorial Day May 29, 2017.

The Fremont American Legion and The Fremont Chamber raisie the funds for the flag program. A steak fry at the American Legion is a major fund raiser, the money is used for flags, poles, and such. We also receive  donations from private individuals for upkeep of the flags downtown.

The Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary, non-profit organization which brings together businesses, professionals, and concerned citizens to utilize their ideas and talents to aid in promoting a balanced community development. But most important, the Chamber is people...people just like you who realize that through the Chamber they can accomplish collectively what no one can do individually. The strength of the Chamber lies in developing a pool of resources from which to draw ideas, energy and finances.
